Man’s body found in Queens with trauma to the neck: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – The body of a man was found in Queens Friday afternoon with trauma to the neck, the NYPD said.

At 4:09 p.m. on Friday afternoon police received a 911 call reporting a body. Responders found the body of an unconscious and unresponsive man in the front yard of 135-57 122nd Place in South Ozone Park, officials said.

Police said that the man was between the ages of 20 and 25.

EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene shortly after he was discovered, police said.

Authorities said that the man’s body had trauma to the neck. The cause was not immediately clear.

The medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death, which is unknown.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
