VIDEO: Men on mopeds sought in Bronx robbery spree, 'Don't move or I'll shoot'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials are searching for a group of five men in mopeds wanted in a string of armed robberies in the Bronx, authorities said.

The first incident happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the southeast corner of Saint Lawrence and Westchester avenues in Soundview where a 33-year-old man was standing.

According to police, the victim was standing on the corner when a suspect riding a blue moped drove by and snatched two chains worth $2,000 from his neck.

The suspect was accompanied by two additional men riding a second moped, who were last seen heading southbound on Saint Lawrence Avenue, cops said.

At around 1:31 a.m. on Monday, July 6, a 28-year-old man was at the corner of Bruckner Boulevard and Rosedale Avenue in Soundview where the victim was walking southbound on Rosedale Avenue when four men riding two black mopeds approached, displayed a black firearm and demanded money.

One suspect stated "Don't move or I’ll shoot", as a second suspect stole the victim's chain, cell phone and book bag, the NYPD said.

All four suspects fled on the mopeds and were last seen heading north bound on Rosedale Avenue.

On Monday, July 6, at approximately 7 p.m. a man was standing in front of 1760 Westchester Ave. when a suspect riding a blue moped drove by him and stole his cell phone from his hand, police said.

The suspect was last seen heading southbound on Commonwealth Avenue towards Gleason Avenue.

The victim sustained a minor injury to his right knee and EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was treated and released.
