NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police on Monday released surveillance footage of two men accused of robbing the same Washington Heights smoke shop twice in a week.
The first incident happened at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.
The suspects entered Eleganza 66 located at 3776 Broadway and threatened to harm a 19-year-old woman and demanded cannabis, officials said.
One suspect placed his hand in a book bag, simulating a firearm before they both fled the location with $400 worth of merchandise, authorities said.
At approximately 9:40 p.m., on Saturday, June 1, one of the suspects entered the same smoke shop and threatened a 30-year-old man then placed his hand in his book bag, and displayed the handle of a firearm, police said.
The suspect fled the location to parts unknown.
There were no injuries reported as a result of either incident.
