NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday released photos of a suspect on a moped sought in an attempted robbery that happened in the Bronx earlier this week.
At about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, a 31-year-old woman was in the vicinity of Hunt Avenue and Van Nest Avenue in Van Nest when she was approached by the suspect on a motorized scooter, officials said.
The suspect attempted to forcibly remove the woman's chain from her neck and dragged the victim on the ground while on the motorized scooter before fleeing to parts unknown.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated by EMS on scene.
The suspect is believed to be approximately 16 to 20 years old and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words "World Tour 1988" on the front, black sweatpants, red and black sneakers, a small circle tattoo on the right side of his face. He was seen riding on a black moped with a black mask.
