NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An MTA bus collided with a barrier wall in the Bronx on Tuesday morning, leaving four people with minor injuries, officials said.

The MTA confirmed that a Bx11 bus was involved in an incident Tuesday morning at West 181st Street and University Avenue in University Heights.

According to police, the bus was traveling south on University Avenue, turned west onto the bridge ramp and hit a concrete barrier between the road and bike path.

Four people were minorly injured in the collision, including the 65-year-old bus driver, police and fire officials said. It was unclear if the other three people were bus riders or pedestrians.

The driver was taken to BronxCare Health System, while the others were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln.

The incident was under control at about 12:16 p.m., the FDNY said.
