NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An MTA bus driver struck and injured two pedestrians near the Bronx Zoo on Sunday evening, police said.

The pedestrians were hit by the bus at East Fordham Road and Crotona Avenue in the Belmont section just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The victims were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions weren’t immediately known.

The bus driver remained at the scene, according to police.

No charges have been filed in the collision.
