NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — An MTA employee was struck with a glass bottle at a Queens subway station earlier this month, and police released photos of a suspect on Sunday to aid in their investigation.

At about 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, police responded to a report of an assault at the Jamaica-179th Street subway station in Queens.

A 54-year-old male MTA employee was on the platform and on-duty when an unknown woman approached him and hit him with a glass bottle, police said.

The MTA worker sustained minor injuries to his back, and refused medical attention, authorities said.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
