NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage Friday of a burglar wanted for stealing almost $500,000 in cash, jewelry and other items from a Queens residence in May.
It happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, in the vicinity of Chevy Chase Street and 80th Road in Jamaica Estates.
According to officials, the suspect unlawfully entered a residence by breaking the rear window of the kitchen. Once inside, he took various items from the bedroom closet, including jewelry, assorted bags, and a bank card, with an estimated value of about $192,000.
He also stole approximately $300,000 in cash and removed a security camera system from the basement before fleeing the location on foot to parts unknown.
