NJ teacher busted for faking doctor’s note to avoid mask mandate: prosecutors

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New Jersey teacher submitted a fake doctor’s note in an attempt to avoid her school district’s face mask mandate, prosecutors alleged Monday.

Gayle Hadley, 53, of Toms River, allegedly submitted a forged letter on Sept. 8 claiming she had a fictitious medical exemption to the mask mandate in the Woodbridge Public School District, where she works, the Middlesex County prosecutor’s office said.

Hadley was arrested on Thursday and charged with one count of fourth-degree uttering and one count of fourth-degree falsifying medical records.
