VIDEO: Northwell Health Nurse Choir gives soaring performance on 'America's Got Talent'

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Northwell Health Nurse Choir received a standing ovation from the audience, including the "America's Got Talent" judges, after their rousing live performance during Tuesday night.

The choir, which is comprised of 18 frontline nurses from around New York, performed "You Will Be Found" from the Tony Award-winning musical "Dear Evan Hansen."

"We hear ad nauseam, 'We're all in this together,'" said judge Howie Mandel. "We couldn't be in this together if there weren't people like you saving our lives. That was the most beautiful moment. America, you would be crazy if you didn't vote for them."

The Northwell Health Nurse Choir first appeared on the hit NBC show in June 2021 and received "the Golden Buzzer" by Mandel, allowing them to head straight to the live performances.

They first began performing in 2020 to support Nurse Heroes — a nonprofit that aims to solve nursing shortages and raise funds for scholarships.

Twitter users celebrated the choir, including judge and actress Sofia Vergara.
