NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A New York state trooper shot a suspected drunk driver who refused to pull over in Queens Friday night, according to authorities.

Wilton Ketter, a 22-year-old from Connecticut, led state police officers on a car chase on Grand Central Parkway in Corona around 10:45 p.m., the New York State Police said in a statement.

The chase reportedly ended near a Gulf gas station off the highway near LaGuardia airport.

Officers accused the driver of attempting to ram the troopers, leading one of the cops to open fire.

Ketter suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the car wasn’t injured.

Emergency personnel brought the injured driver to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

Charges against the motorist are pending, and police said the shooting is under investigation.
