NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a man who they say is behind one bank robbery and two attempted bank robberies in the Bronx and Manhattan since Friday.
The NYPD release surveillance images of the suspect Sunday as they continued to search for him.
The robbery was reported at a Chase bank at 75 E. 161 Street in the Concourse section of the Bronx around 4:10 p.m. Friday. Police said a man gave a note to a teller and demanded money before fleeing with $800.
Two attempted robberies were then reported in the Bronx and Manhattan on Saturday.
Police said the man tried to rob a Santander bank at 389 E. 149th Street in the South Bronx shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, but he fled empty-handed.
Less than two hours later, around 11:15 a.m., he tried to rob an Apple bank at 169 E. 125th Street in East Harlem but was again unsuccessful, police said.
