NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A ride-share driver was arrested on Saturday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a passenger in Union Township, New Jersey, police said.
Yiduo Ding of Queens, 39, is now facing a second-degree sexual assault charge, NJ.com reported.
Ding, responding to a ride-share request at the luxury Vermella complex on Morris Avenue early Saturday for a New York City trip, allegedly committed the assault there.
The Union Township Police Department with the Union County Prosecutor's Office's special victims unit, conducted a joint investigation leading to Ding's arrest.
He is being held in New York City, awaiting extradition to New Jersey, authorities said.
Authorities have not shared the name of the ride-share service involved in the incident.
