
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- At least three people were fatally shot over an eight-hour span in New York City on Monday, including a woman killed in a Bronx drive-by that also left two men wounded.
The drive-by shooting unfolded just after 4 p.m. at E. 137th Street and Bruckner Boulevard in the Mott Haven section. A vehicle pulled up and a shooter fired at the three victims—a woman and two men.
Police said the woman, identified as 39-year-old Gloria Ortiz of the Bronx, was shot in the head. She was transported to Lincoln Hospital but did not survive. Police are trying to determine if she was targeted or a bystander.
The two men—ages 32 and 23—were both struck in their back by gunfire, police said.
The 32-year-old man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition.
The 23-year-old man was also in stable condition at Harlem Hospital.
Citizen App video shows the area cordoned off as police investigate. The NYPD said no arrests have been made.


Just six hours later around 10 p.m., a 39-year-old man was shot and killed on Sedgwick Avenue, near W. Kingsbridge Road, in the Kingsbridge Heights section.
Officers responding to a 911 call found the victim, identified as Christian Bueno of the Bronx, with a gunshot wound to his torso.
He was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been reported in the shooting.

A 33-year-old man was shot to death in Queens about 90 minutes later, police said.
The victim was shot around 11:30 p.m. in front of a bar at Linden Boulevard and 194th Street in St. Albans, according to police.
He was found unconscious by officers and died at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream. He was later identified as Diquan Orr of Queens.
Police said no one has been arrested in the shooting.
