NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are looking for a man who they said brutally attacked a 73-year-old man during a dispute in the Bronx on Monday.
The attack was reported to police just before noon in front of a residential building near Boston Road and East 166th Street in the Morrisania section.
Police said the victim and the attacker were engaged in some sort of verbal dispute when it suddenly turned physical.
According to the NYPD, the 73-year-old victim was thrown to the ground, punched and kicked in the assault. It remains unclear what the two were arguing about, or if they knew each other prior to the incident.
Police said the attacker took off on foot, heading westbound on East 166th Street.
The victim was treated at the scene by emergency personnel and is expected to be okay.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect on Thursday.
