NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An NYPD detective was arrested for drunk driving in Brooklyn early Sunday morning, according to police.

Detective Jerry St. Louis, 42, slammed into another car in front of the 78th Precinct Building near the Barclays Center just before 1 a.m., according to officials.
The NYPD wouldn’t say whether the car he hit was moving or parked.
St. Louis’ fellow officers charged him with driving while impaired by alcohol — an offense punishable by possible jail time, license revocation and a hefty fine.
St. Louis has worked for the department since 2005, according to his LinkedIn account.
The veteran officer’s alleged drunk driving incident came about an hour after a New York City corrections officer was arrested for firing a gun in Manhattan.
Kadeem Luton, 30, was arrested at the intersection of 11th Avenue and West 46th Street in Hell’s Kitchen around 11:50 p.m., according to police.
Officials would not say why he was firing his gun, but police charged him with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
Luton works on Rikers Island and was suspended without pay following the incident.
