NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A team of NYPD officers managed to talk a woman down from the ledge of a Brooklyn overpass Tuesday night, according to a report.
A motorist called police after noticing the woman standing on Gowanus Expressway entrance ramp railing in Bay Ridge around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, the New York Post reported, citing information from police.
NYPD Emergency Service Unit members arrived at the scene soon after and temporarily shuttered part of the expressway, the outlet reported.
Two of the unit's members managed to pull the woman to safety after nearly an hour, according to the outlet.
She was taken to a nearby hospital for an evaluation, the outlet reported.
