NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested on Thursday for allegedly choking his wife during an argument inside their Brooklyn home, officials said.
According to authorities, Michael Garrison was cuffed at approximately 4:15 p.m., in Bay Ridge after a dispute between the two escalated.
Garrison allegedly choked his wife and refused to let her leave the apartment, officials said.
The NYPD Police Officer was charged with 2 counts of criminal obstruction of breathing and unlawful imprisonment, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
