NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD school safety agent was arrested early Friday morning in Brooklyn for breaking into his ex-wife’s home and destroying her phone.

Police arrested Christopher Nicholson, 30, just before 3 a.m. after he stole his ex-wife’s keys, broke into her home and destroyed her cellphone.
Police did not release the location of the house, but Nicholson was arrested in the 67th precinct, which covers East Flatbush.
He faces charges of burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment.
Also while working as a school safety agent, he was arrested in July 2021 for robbery, according to a report from Bronx.com.
The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office doesn’t have a record of the 2021 arrest, which could indicate the case was sealed or charges were dropped.
The NYPD suspended Nicholson without pay following his arrest on Friday.
