NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released a police sketch on Thursday of a man they are looking to identify for groping a teen boy aboard a train inside a Brooklyn subway station last week, authorities said.

At approximately 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, a 15-year-old boy was riding the northbound R train at the Prospect Avenue subway Station located at the northeast corner of Prospect Avenue and 4th Avenue, when he was approached by the suspect, officials said.

Police said the suspect grabbed the victim's private area over his clothing.

The victim exited the train at 4th Avenue and 9th Street in fear for his safety, cops said.

The suspect remained on the train, and exited further along the route, to parts unknown.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

The individual is described as a male, approximately 30-years-old, approximately 5'5" tall, with brown eyes, a dark complexion and short dark hair.  He last seen wearing a hooded snorkel jacket and brown jeans.

A police sketch of the unidentified individual is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
