NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An NYPD sergeant died while on duty early Saturday morning after suffering from a medical episode in the Bronx, according to police.
The 40-year-old sergeant was in the 50th Precinct station house in Kingsbridge when the incident occurred shortly after midnight, police said.
The cop was transported to New York Presbyterian Allen Pavilion Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
More information was not immediately available. The officer's name has not yet been released.
