NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD Emergency Service Unit arrested a 46-year-old man who barricaded himself with a weapon inside a trailer behind a Staten Island Hospital on Sunday morning.

The NYPD received reports of the situation at Richmond County Medical Center in West New Brighton around 10:18 a.m.
Dispatchers sent the ESU, a specialized team that carries out high-risk search warrants and arrests, according to officials.
Authorities said he was “arrested with no further incident,” and no one was injured during the standoff.
The hospital briefly went on lockdown due to the incident.
