NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD will reportedly resume vaccinating officers on Wednesday, a week after it paused its vaccine rollout amid a statewide shortage of the vaccine.
A memo to uniformed officers obtained by the New York Post said the department had received a new shipment of the vaccine. It's unclear how many doses that shipment included.
Officers can get vaccinated with the latest supply until Friday. It is available between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Police Academy at Brooklyn's Floyd Bennett Field, according to the report.
Over 12,000 officers out of the department's 35,000 had received the first dose of the vaccine as of last Monday.
