NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials on Tuesday released surveillance of a man wanted for punching an NYPD officer on a Manhattan street earlier this month.

According to police, just before 2 p.m. on Nov. 5, the unidentified man rode his bicycle into the opening driver-side door of the on-duty NYPD traffic enforcement agent's parked department vehicle in front of 625 Madison Avenue in Midtown East.

The suspect then punched the 45-year-old male Traffic Enforcement Agent in his throat and fled the location on his bicycle, heading westbound on East 59 Street, authorities said.

The Traffic Enforcement Agent sustained pain to his neck and was taken to NY Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition.

Police. describe the suspect wanted in the assault as a man standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing about 180 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a blue face mask, black hooded sweatshirt with a Puma logo on the front, dark-colored pants, and black sneakers.
