NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD detective has been arrested and charged with sexually abusing a child, the department said Thursday.
Franco Johnson, 42, was charged with six counts of sexual abuse, two counts of course of sexual conduct against a child and two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child on Thursday morning, the NYPD said.
Police arrested him in the Bronx, according to the department.
The NYPD couldn't immediately provide any additional details about Johnson's arrest. His attorney information wasn't immediately available.
