
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/ WCBS 880 NEWS) – An off-duty NYPD officer was arrested and charged on Wednesday for driving while intoxicated, police said.
Lesley Pierluisse, 42, at around 2 a.m. was arrested in East Village in Manhattan, according to cops.
Pierluisse, who currently serves at the 7th Precinct, on the Lower East Side, joined the NYPD in July 2008, according to public records.
In 2018, Pierluisse was exonerated for an allegation of excessive force and abuse of authority made by a 59-year-old black male.
Pierluisse now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while apparently impaired, and refusing to take a breath test.
