NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD officer. was arrested for drunk driving in the Bronx on Sunday, officials said on Monday.
According to police, at around 2:30 a.m., 39-year-old Officer Hector Martinez was involved in an accident at the intersection of the Bruckner Expressway and Hutchinson River Parkway.
Responding officers said Martinez showed signs of being intoxicated.
He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired.
An investigation is ongoing.
