NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty NYPD officer was injured early Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash near Madison Square Garden, sources said.

A man driving a sedan and headed eastbound on West 30th Street struck the 31-year-old woman at Seventh Avenue, according to police.

She was walking southbound in a marked crosswalk when she was hit around 12:30 a.m., police said.

The driver did not remain at the scene of the crash, the NYPD said.

The woman, who was apparently off duty, suffered minor injuries to both legs, sources said.

EMS transported her to a hospital in stable condition.
