NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Officials shut down an illegal club in Queens over the weekend after finding more than 75 people drinking and smoking hookah inside.
Authorities shuttered the club, which was operating inside a building on Roosevelt Avenue, near 67th Street, in Woodside around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, the City Sheriff said.
Police officers, deputy sheriffs and members of the FDNY found more than 75 people inside the venue, which didn't have a liquor license, according to the City Sheriff.
The FDNY also detected "dangerous levels" of carbon dioxide inside the venue.
