VIDEO: Victims tied up, over $20K in cash stolen by group in violent Bronx home invasion

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is looking to identify a group wanted in connection to a Bronx home invasion that occurred on Monday where the occupants were tied up and over $20,000 in cash were stolen, officials said.

On April 19, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the group entered an apartment building in the vicinity of Bainbridge Avenue and 193 Street in the Fordham Manor section, police said.

Upon entering the building, the group knocked on the door of an apartment and when the victims, a 45-year old man and a 34-year-old woman answered the door, according to officials.

The suspect then forced their way inside and tied the two victims' hands with electrical tape, as one of the suspects displayed a firearm while another displayed a knife, the NYPD said.

The 45-year-old man was slashed on the head and neck and suffered lacerations, authorities said.

The group then forcibly removed approximately $22,000 dollars, $75,000 worth of jewelry, and cellphones before fleeing on foot northbound on Bainbridge Avenue, according to police.

The victims refused medical attention.
