NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A person survived after being struck by a Metro-North train in the Bronx Thursday morning, according to authorities.
At about 5 a.m., a Grand Central-bound Metro-North Railroad train struck an unauthorized person on the tracks near the Melrose Station, the MTA said.
The person was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and the extent of their injuries remain unknown.
Harlem and New Haven Line service were temporarily suspended between Botanical Garden and Harlem-125th Street.
