NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man who dresses up as a Christmas tree and hits the streets of New York City was spotted this week bringing cheer to people in his festive getup after an especially challenging year for the city.
Tommy Liberto, also known as “Mr. Christmas Tree,” was seen at a lower Manhattan subway station, on the Staten Island Ferry and outside Radio City Music Hall in Midtown, among other locations.

The 47-year-old street performer has been traveling to the five boroughs from Maryland for the past six years in the costume to spread joy during the holidays.
“The reactions are priceless, I love it,” Liberto told CNN last year. “It’s a lot of “holy ****, oh my God, WHOA, I LOVE THAT, and bouts of laughter can be heard everywhere I go.”
