NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- The return of Broadway and the holiday season hit the streets Wednesday as Times Square’s Show Globes made a grand reappearance.

The globes, which are now out on Broadway Plaza between 45th and 46th streets, celebrate “Ain’t Too Proud — The Life and Times of The Temptations,” “Dear Evan Hansen,” “The Lion King” and “Wicked.”
The exhibition will remain outdoors through Dec. 26.

For “Ain’t Too Proud,” the globe shows the legendary group wrapped up for the holidays.

The Tony Award-winning “Dear Evan Hansen” utilizes the show’s message of acceptance, complete with song titles from the score.

“The Lion King’s” globe takes visitors to the “Circle of Life” scene, including a Madame Tussaud wax figure of Rafiki, along with several mini replicas from the show.

And “Wicked” uses its globe to show the Land of Oz skyline, clock gears and its costumes, inspired by the bond between Elphaba and Glinda.
Cast members from “Ain’t Too Proud” and “Wicked,” and designers from all four musicals were on hand to take in the sights and music.

The globes were unveiled with a performance by acclaimed singer Mark Nadler, who performed a medley of songs from the four featured shows.
The Times Square Alliance also said they hope visitors to the globes will venture out into the surrounding neighborhood and utilize holiday promos.
