NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — As Henri churned toward the northeast coast Sunday, the damage was already being felt from the Jersey Shore to New York City even before the tropical storm made landfall.
Torrential storms Saturday night set a record for the city's wettest hour and left several roads from Newark to Brooklyn inundated with water. Coastal areas of New Jersey were also under water as Henri edged closer Sunday morning.
