Police deem shooting death of 22-year-old man at Queens park a homicide

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the death of a man found repeatedly shot in a Queens park earlier this month.

Police responded to a 911 call of a man shot at Rufus King Park near the corner of 153 Street and 90 Road in Jamaica on October 15, at approximately 4:40. p.m.


Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wounds to the head and arm.

EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on October 21.

He was later identified as Numani Lambert, from the Bronx.

Authorities have now deemed the incident a Homicide.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
