NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found in critical condition Friday near the Highland Park tennis courts and later died.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault in the vicinity of Jamaica Ave. and Cleveland Street in Cypress Hills at 1:04 p.m. Friday, officials said.
Responders found a man with trauma to the head in critical condition, police said.
EMS transported the man to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead, authorities reported.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
