NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a man who they say mocked and then attacked three men speaking Cantonese on a Brooklyn street this week.

The three men, all in their 50s, were talking to each other outside Golden City Seafood Restaurant at 20th Avenue and 65th Street in Bensonhurst around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, when the suspect walked past and mocked the way they spoke, police said.
A 56-year-old man in the group confronted the suspect, who punched him in the face and brandished a knife, according to police.
The suspect then sprayed the three men in their faces with an unknown substance before fleeing down 20th Avenue, police said.
The three victims were taken to Maimonides Medical Center with minor injuries.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has been notified about the attack.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
