NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police were searching Tuesday for a suspect who took off after allegedly getting into a scuffle with cops at a Brooklyn subway station that ended with one officer falling onto the tracks.

Officers were responding to a call just before 7 a.m. about a disorderly person at the Franklin Avenue–Medgar Evers College station in Crown Heights when they found the man on a train.

Officers escorted him onto a platform, but as they were attempting to place him under arrest, he refused to comply, police said.

The officer suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition.

The suspect is said to be about 5 feet, 5 inches and wearing a black jacket.
