NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for a man who injured a woman while she struggled against him after he stole her phone on July 2.
A man in his 30s approached a 34-year-old woman around 12:20 a.m. on the corner of 9th Avenue and West 41st Street in Midtown and grabbed her iPhone 14 out of her hand, according to authorities.
The victim grabbed onto the man's hoodie while he was fleeing, causing her to fall to the ground and cut her head, police said.
Emergency responders brought the victim to Mt. Sinai West in stable condition.
