In each of the 10 incidents, the man rode up to his victims on a Citi Bike, grabbed their phones out of their hands and then fled, officials said.
No one was injured during the robberies, which took place between July 12 and July 17, often with multiple incidents a day, according to authorities.
For the most part, he struck late at night — usually between the hours of 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.
The one exception to this time frame was on July 14 when he robbed someone around 2:30 p.m.
Police are asking anyone with information on the robberies to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Anonymous tips can also be submitted at the Crime Stoppers website or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
