WATCH: Police seek armed suspects in attempted robbery in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is looking to identify two men sought in connection with an attempted robbery that occurred in Queens over the weekend.

On Saturday, May 8, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a 56-year-old man left his 2009 Toyota Venza vehicle running with the key in the ignition while parked in the intersection of 110 Street and 107 Avenue in Ozone Park, officials said.

According to police, when the victim returned to his vehicle, two unidentified men were attempting to go into the vehicle while brandishing a silver firearm and stating they were going shoot him.

The victim then entered his car and the suspects fled on foot to parts unknown without removing any property, authorities said.

There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The NYPD on Wednesday released surveillance video of the suspects during the incident.

Officials describe the first suspect as a dark-skinned man, approximately 18 to 22 years of age and last seen wearing a black bubble jacket, hoodie, and black pants with black sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a light-skinned man, approximately 17 to 21 years of age, with black hair and last seen wearing a black hoodie and sweats,  white sneakers, and a blue face mask.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
