NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A truck carrying propane tanks burst into flames after it overturned on the Horace Harding Expressway exit ramp in Queens early Tuesday.

The westbound truck flipped in the exit lanes near Junction Boulevard in Corona just after 12 a.m., officials said.
The truck driver told police he was cut off by another vehicle and skidded as he attempted to avoid that vehicle causing the truck to overturn and explode into flames.
According to police, black ice appears to have contributed to the crash.
The truck was carrying 294 propane tanks, which went up into massive flames.

FDNY officials spent hours putting out the flames and cleaning up the propane tanks.
The driver suffered minor injuries and complained of pain and bruising but refused medical treatment at the scene, police said.
A postal truck and a car were also damaged in the fire.
There were no other injuries were reported.
No criminality was determined, and authorities have secured the scene, officials said.
