NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD deemed the 2023 death of a 2-month-old Queens boy a homicide after they determined he died from a ketamine overdose, police said Wednesday.

At about 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 23, 2023, Mike Nieto Parra was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center after he was found unconscious in his family’s apartment on 82nd Street near Eliot Avenue in Middle Village, authorities said. He died that day, cops said.

Following an autopsy which included tissue samples and lab tests, officials found ketamine in the infant's system and determined he died of "acute drug intoxication."

His death was ruled a homicide by the city medical examiner on Tuesday.

So far no arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
