NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The MTA confirmed Wednesday that a Queens man who was arrested earlier this week after police discovered a massive arsenal of illegal guns at his home is a supervisor for the transit agency.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the arrest of 55-year-old Joseph A. Maddaloni Sr. on Tuesday. Authorities raided his home and arrested him on Thursday.
“The alleged conduct in this case is outrageous and inconsistent with the values of NYC Transit,” said NYC Transit President Richard Davey. “This employee was immediately suspended without pay and will no longer have the privilege of serving with fifty thousand colleagues, some of whose loved ones may have been victims of gun violence.”
Police found 15 ghost gun pistols, two AR-15 ghost gun assault rifles, two legitimate AR-15 assault rifles, nine legitimate pistols and a host of gun accessories and ammunition in Maddaloni’s home.
He had two gun permits that allowed him to possess some of the weapons, but he exceeded the number he was allowed and was also holding ghost guns — weapons with no serial number that are illegal.
If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison.
