Queens man, 23, dies after hit in head with wooden board during dispute

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 23-year-old Queens man is dead after he was hit in the head during a dispute with a large group of people early Sunday, authorities said.

The incident happened in front of 43-15 Junction Boulevard in Corona around 2 a.m. when the victim got into an argument with a large group of men, police said.

One of the men from the group hit the victim in the head with a wooden board before fleeing the scene on Junction Boulevard, according to officials.

Emergency responders transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
