Man fatally shot in head, another stabbed to death overnight in Queens

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a man was fatally shot and another stabbed to death in Queens on Tuesday night.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot inside of 97-34 103rd St. in Richmond Hill.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS pronounced the victim dead on scene.

A person of interest was taken into custody and the investigation remains ongoing.

At approximately 9 p.m., police received a 911 call for an assault in front of 192 Beach 115th St. in Rockaway Park.

Upon arrival, officers observed 37-year-old Brandon Williams with a stab wound to the chest and left wrist. EMS responded and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made in this incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
