NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday released an image of a suspect wanted for punching and kicking a subway rider in the face during a knifepoint robbery on a Queens subway shuttle train earlier this month.
At approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, a 29-year-old man was riding on the Broad Channel shuttle train heading southbound to Beach 90th Street in Rockaway Beach, when he was approached by the suspect.
The suspect displayed a knife and kicked the victim in the face following a verbal dispute.
The victim and the suspect detrained at Beach 90th Street where the confrontation ensued, officials said. The suspect punched the victim in the face and took his backpack containing personal items.
The suspect fled on foot to parts unknown.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
