18-year-old arrested for fatal shooting of boy, 15, at Far Rockaway subway station

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Saturday for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old boy at a Queens subway platform on Friday.

The shooting took place around 3:47 p.m. on Friday at the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue train station in Far Rockaway, authorities said.

Emergency responders rushed the Jayjon Burnett to Cohen's Children's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not yet announced the identity of the suspect.
