NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police charged a 42-year-old resident at an independent living housing facility with manslaughter in the death of another resident on Tuesday.
Following an investigation, Eduardo Martinez was arrested and charged at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in front of the Concern Independent Living located at 330 MacDougal St. in Brownsville.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old man laying on the sidewalk, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS transported the victim to Interfaith Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.
