NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a robber who approached a 63-year-old woman outside her Brooklyn home last week and slammed her to the ground while trying to snatch her purse.
It happened at about 5:15 p.m. outside Clinton Street and Sackett Street in Cobble Hill on May 20, police said.
The victim was attempting to get inside her residence when the suspect hopped the fence, approached her from behind and forcefully grabbed her purse. A struggle ensued, causing her to be slammed to the ground, cops said.
The suspect—featured in surveillance images released by police Monday—made off on foot with the victim’s bag.
Authorities said that the victim was taken to NY Langone Hospital–Brooklyn in stable condition.
